Things that are instrumental, for me, in finding inspiration:

-good music

(the "soft" playlist on stereomood.com, eisley, sigur ros, U2, waterdeep, stevie wonder and billie holiday are a good start)

-the outdoors: specifically water and mountains

-a warm drink (lately chai with milk and agave)

-prayer

-a good book (and/or The Good Book)
-a beautiful portrait

-a leather bound journal and a good pen (the kind where your hand just glides across the page)

-a camera

-when the light trickles down from the clouds in such a way you think you might just believe in angels afterall

-a warm, cozy, inviting space where perfection is not required or admired

-a best friend

-a beautiful movie

-a really lovely piece of cheese with fruit and a glass of wine

Things that tend to rob me of creativity and are devoid of inspiration (in my humble opinion):

-facebook   (why do i give in???)

-reality tv (although this has often been a guilty pleasure of mine)

-comparing myself to others

-Fox news

-the suburbs

-the mall

-walmart

-traffic
